Directions

We suggest this three different ways of cooking the Pulpo de Playa:

1) Boil the Octopus for 50 minutes with water and salt trying to keep temperature constant. Once is cooked it is important to cool it off outside the cooking water, to prevent the skin from loosing up.

2) Vacuum pack in a bag with a little bit of salt, boil for about 60 minuts. Remove from water and let it cool off laying on a try.

3) Cut the octopus in pieces in a “gastronom” (oven tray) with wholes and cooked in the oven with vaporizer at 210F during 1.5 hours.

Octopus can be cook in many ways and use in very different preparations, you can eat it raw or stew it for hours in a traditional way. The times suggested above are for Pulpo de Playa of around 7 Lb, if they are smaller they will need a little bit less time and if they are bigger they will need a little bit more.
