What do you need to make the Spaghetti with clams recipe ?
(4 people)
2 LB Clams
3 shallots
2 Garlic cloves
1 Glass of white wine
17 oz of Linguine pasta
½ chili
½ cup of olive oil
Parsley
1 Tbs of butter
Cooking instruction for Clams and pasta
- Cut the shallots in small pieces
- Use the parsley stems only. Cut them into ½ inch pieces.
- Remove the skin of the garlic cloves.
- In a saucepan, add the oil and cook shallots, garlic and parsley for 15min on low heat. Clean the clams carefully.
- Add them to the preparation with the white wine. Cook on high until all the clams are open.
- Keep this preparation on the side for now.
- Chop the parsley leaves.
- Cook the linguine or spaghetti into salted boiling water for 4 min. Strained them and keep a bowl of the cooking water.
- Take back the saucepan with the clams and add the cooking bowl of cooking water and the pasta to it.
- Cook the whole thing for 4 min on high.
- At the end of cooking, add the butter and the parsley leaves.
- Salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve as soon as possible.
