Lava Cake W/ Valrhona Chocolate
A rich French chocolate cake made with Valrhona dark chocolate, free-range eggs and butter, fully baked and frozen. Heat from frozen and the center turns molten. Two individual cakes per pack, ready to plate with ice cream, berries or crème anglaise.
Pack
12 packs per case, 2 cakes per pack (24 cakes per case). Each cake is 3.17 oz (90 g) and 2.75 in (7 cm) in diameter.
Preparation
Remove all packaging and heat from frozen. Adjust to your equipment.
Microwave: 30–35 seconds at 800 W.
Oven: about 9 minutes at 350°F (180°C), preheated.
Thaw and serve: thaw 2.5 hours at 32–39°F (0–4°C). If thawed, shorten the heating time.
Ingredients
Free-range EGGS, dark chocolate (22%) (cocoa beans, sugar, cocoa butter, emulsifier: lecithins), sugar, butter (MILK), water, WHEAT flour, whole MILK powder.
Allergens
Contains: egg, milk, wheat. May contain: soy, tree nuts.
Storage
Store in freezer at 0°F (-18°C) or below. Do not thaw and refreeze. Once thawed, keep refrigerated and eat within 24 hours. Shelf life: 18 months from production.
Good to know
The cakes may show “sugar bloom” (white spots), a natural sugar crystallization with no effect on taste or safety. It disappears on reheating.
